A new tourist information center has been opened in the park named after 28 Panfilov Guards. On March 21 of this year, the head of the Tourism Department of Almaty, M.S. Kikimov, presented to the Mayor of Almaty, B.K. Baibek, a new tourist information center in the building of the former Church house.
Building construction
The building, built more than 100 years ago by the project of civil engineer A.P. Zenkov, was used for various needs of the church, then for storing inventory of municipal utilities and was in critical condition. In this regard, while preserving the basic appearance of historical structures, layout and decorative elements, the building was restored.

It should be noted that city maps with the main attractions are provided free of charge on the info points, tourists can get Beeline SIM cards for free and top up their balance there, as well as buy an Almaty Pass card for travelers, which makes it possible to visit the main attractions, get discounts from 5 to 50% on various services (in 7 hotels and 2 hostels, 11 restaurants and 6 entertainment facilities) and use public transport an unlimited number of times.
